Individuals are without health insurance for a number of reasons. Due to loss of employment, lack of awareness, economic downturn or other misfortune, they need your help. Many use the emergency room as their primary health care, causing financial strain on all of Summit County’s hospital systems.
By assisting one uninsured person per month with the Access to Care program, we are setting remarkable nationwide standards to unlock a healthier community, while keeping emergency room resources for real emergencies. With your help, Summit County will set the bar for physician volunteerism.
